  • On Monday, November 8th, the girls were treated with a visit from the Wiregrass Area Queens – Caitlin Gruff, Miss Wiregrass Area and Shelby Andrews, Miss Wiregrass Area Outstanding Teen.  The girls enjoyed a great story about princesses and pirates!

The BEST part of the visit… if you were to ask the girls… getting their picture taken one at a time as they wore a tiara!  Who doesn’t dream of being of a princess when they are little?  Thanks to Carol for taking pictures of the girls wearing the tiaras – can’t wait to see them!!

  • Please mark your calendar for the following dates that Girls Inc. of Dothan will be closed for the month of November:

    • November 24-26 – Closed for Thanksgiving Holidays

Also, Girls Inc. will be surveying parents/guardians on the days they will need our services during the Christmas holidays (December 23-31).  As soon as we gather this information, the dates for Winter Intercession and the dates the center will be closed will be posted.

  • During the month of October, each classroom decorated their door to represent Fall or Halloween.  On October 29th, the girls cast their votes for their favorite classroom door.  The winning class/door was Ms. Tiffany’s 6th-8th grade which is shown to the left.

The October birthdays were celebrated on Friday, October 29th.  Afterwards, the girls enjoyed trick or treating throughout the center!

We hope everyone had a fun, safe, and candy filled Halloween!
